The Village Museum will be Re Opening Saturday, September 19th from 1pm to 4pm

The Following Health Guidelines will be Required for all Museum Visitors

Something for Everyone!

Yard Salers come to the village and enjoy walking the streets picking up yard sale items from baby clothes to computer equipment, from books to furniture, antiques to trinkets. There is something for everyone. While strolling the village for yard sale treasures check out the local shops where you can purchase homemade chocolates, baked goods, antiques, jewelry, paintings, flowers, and many specialty items.

Make a day of it! Enjoy breakfast or lunch at one of our many restaurants-there is a variety to pick from. If you want to take a break from bargain hunting and shopping you can stop by the Village Museum and learn about the history of the village, from 1 pm to 4 pm. The O.C. Firefighters Museum is also open from 1-4 pm and you’ll be surprised at some of the unique things you’ll find there.

Join us for the Taste of Montgomery 2020.  141-142 Clinton Street, Montgomery, NY between the Montgomery Village Museum and Orange County Firefighters Museum

Taste of Montgomery to be held on Sunday, October 18th, 1- 4 pm, in between of the Village of Montgomery Museum and the Orange County Firefighters Museum.

Hear tales both historic and haunting on a the Village of Montgomery Candlelight Ghost Tour.

The Tour starts at Village Hall on October 24 at 7pm.

Tickets are available at the Village Hall $5.00 per person.

You are cordially invited to join us:  December 7th, 2020 at 11:00 am at Powell's Landing Pavilion, Wallkill River, Village of Montgomery .

Commemorate the Day of Infamy- December 7, 1941 with Prayer, National Anthem, Moment of Silence, Taps, and a symbolic toss of the flowered wreath into the flowing river.

The Village of Montgomery Holiday House Decorating Contest is a great way to show off your festive spirit and light up this special season! It is also a perfect project for the entire family to enjoy!

Judging will be on Sunday, December 13th, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and will based on the following criteria, and there will be three winners (1st, 2nd and 3rd place) for each category:

  • Most Beautiful
  • Most Traditional
  • Old Fashioned Christmas Theme
  • Most Original
  • Most Eye-catching
  • Children's Delight

 Please be sure your house numbers are visible.

The train will stop between 2:55pm – 3:40pm at the Rowley Lumber Parking Lot, Railroad Avenue in the Village.

Bring a new, unwrapped toy and meet members of the Marine Corps. All toys collected will go to the U.S. Marine Corp. Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation for distribution.
