Museum Memo from Brian Fitzpatrick, Historian, Village of Montgomery

To Our Village Community,

Without question, the village bandstand and the summer concert series has truly become a wonderful gathering spot and experience for our community. However, the history of bandstand and summer concerts dates back to the late 1880’s. At that time village residents and visitors from the surrounding area enjoyed their concerts at the bandstand located on the corner at the First Presbyterian Church. Included in this message is a storyboard we created for the museum, that I hope will give you a quick snapshot of that history.

If you have any questions or need to reach me please email:

Sincerely,

Brian
