Village Board Meetings Streaming on YouTube!

We have an important update regarding our Village Board Meetings. Starting now, we will be streaming our meetings on our YouTube channel and NOT on Facebook anymore.

Switching to YouTube offers several benefits: it provides closed-captioning options for better accessibility, superior video and audio quality, efficient content management for organizing and archiving videos, and a wider reach due to YouTube’s popularity.

This update is designed to improve your viewing experience and keep you updated on our community’s progress.

Flushing Hydrants

The Village of Montgomery flushes the Hydrants two times per year, this is usually done in the Spring and the Fall. This procedure is done to flush out any sediment or substance in the water lines. This keeps the water clean and clear for consumption and use.

  • During the flushing of hydrants, the water may be a brown or rust color.
  • The water is always safe for consumption.
  • Run only your cold water until it runs clear and free of color. Do not use your hot water to prevent this from going into your hot water heater.
  • When doing laundry, run the water in the tub before starting the wash to make sure the water is clear. If the water is discolored, let the washer fill up empty (no clothes in washer) till the water gets clear, then manually set your washer to spin and let the water spin out. Once the water is clear, it should be ok.

If you have any questions please call the Superintendent of Public Works 845-457-5321 or 845-457-3434.
