The Village of Montgomery was awarded $4.5 million in funding as one the Mid-Hudson region’s winners of the second round of New York Forward (NY Forward).

Launched in 2022, New York State's NY Forward program builds on the success of the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) program. NY Forward focuses on invigorating and revitalizing the downtowns in smaller and rural communities—villages, hamlets, and other small, neighborhood-scale municipal centers. The State has allocated $100 million for the second round of NY Forward. Each of the State's ten Regional Economic Development Councils (REDCs) selected two communities per region to receive $4.5 million, bringing the total amount of funding allocated for all rounds of DRI and NY Forward to $1 billion.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Montgomery will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at 7:15 PM or as soon thereafter as can be heard at the Village Senior Center, 36 Bridge Street, Montgomery, NY 12549 to consider the application of K&M Wild, LLC for an exemption from the six month moratorium imposed by the adoption of Local Law No. 2 of 2020 so as to permit the owner to proceed with an amended site plan application to the Planning Board to allow permanent outdoor dining for the Wildfire Grill located at 74 Clinton Street.

A copy of the application is available for public inspection at the Village Clerk's Office and on the Village's web site.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Montgomery did adopt Local Law No. 2 of 2020 on the 2nd day of June, 2020 at the Village Courtroom, 133 Clinton Street, Montgomery, NY 12549.

SAID LOCAL LAW establishes a six-month moratorium on the submission and processing of applications for certain land use approvals within the Village of Montgomery.

Copies of Local Law No. 2 of 2020 are available at the Village Clerk’s Office during regular business hours and on the Village’s web site.
