PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Montgomery did adopt Local Law No. 1 of 2022 on the 20th day of December, 2022 at the Village Senior Center, 36 Bridge Street, Montgomery, NY 12549.
SAID LOCAL LAW provides for the Administration and Enforcement of The New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code (The Uniform Code) and The State Energy Conservation Construction Code (The Energy Code) in the Village of Montgomery.
Copies of Local Law No. 1 of 2022 are available at the Village Clerk’s Office during regular business hours and on the Village’s web site.

Be it enacted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Montgomery, in the County of Orange, as follows:
SECTION 1. PURPOSE AND INTENT
This local law provides for the administration and enforcement of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Code (the Uniform Code) and the State Energy Conservation Construction Code (the Energy Code) in the Village of Montgomery (hereinafter the “Village”). This local law is adopted pursuant to section 10 of the Municipal Home Rule Law. Except as otherwise provided in the Uniform Code, the Energy Code other state law, or other section of this local law, all buildings, structures, and premises, regardless of use or occupancy, are subject to the provisions this local law.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that there has been introduced before the Village Board of the Village of Montgomery, New York, a local law entitled “A Local Law Providing For The Administration And Enforcement Of The New York State Uniform Fire Prevention And Building Code (The Uniform Code) And The State Energy Conservation Construction Code (The Energy Code) In The Village of Montgomery”.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held by the Village Board of the Village of Montgomery on December 20, 2022 at 7:25 p.m. and shall be held at the Village of Montgomery Senior Center located at 36 Bridge Street, Montgomery, New York, to consider the adoption of the aforesaid Introductory Local Law.
Any resident of the Village of Montgomery is entitled to be heard upon said proposed Local Law at such public hearing. Copies of said proposed Local Law are available for review at:
